Journal of Crustacean Biology

The Journal of Crustacean Biology is a published since 1981 scientific journal for Crustaceologie. It is the official journal of the Crustacean Society. Since 2012 and with band 32 it appears at Brill.

The Journal of Crustacean Biology published in the peer -reviewed article on the biology of crustaceans and other marine arthropods. By 2009, published 2052 articles, of which one-fifth ( 20.5 %) had Taxonomy as a theme. Other main points were Systematics ( 15.5%), ecology (13.5%) and anatomy (11.2% ); also published articles on development, behavior, life cycle and protection of crustaceans. In the Journal of Crustacean Biology to 2009 a total of 606 species were first described. Also, were among others in their two classes, five orders, 40 families and 188 genera erected.

In addition to the printed version of the Journal of Crustacean Biology is also available as an online journal (ISSN 1937 - 240X ). The impact factor in 2011 was at 1.116.
