Jovana Damnjanović

Jovana Damnjanović (Serbian: Јована Дамњановић; born 24 November 1994), is a Serbian football player who plays for VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga since 2013.

Career

Jovana Damnjanović, who played in youth football for FC Perspektiva moved later to ŽFK Red Star Belgrade in the Prva Zenska League, the highest league in Serbia's women's football. In the 2012/13 season she won with the team the runner-up in 2012 and reached the cup final, but which was lost against ŽFK Mašinac PZP Niš 2-1.

In the summer of 2013, it switches to the Bundesliga for VfL Wolfsburg. Here they were on September 7, 2013 home game against the women from FC Bayern München her debut when she was brought on after 73 minutes for Martina Müller.

National

On 23 February 2010 she made her debut at the age of 15 years in the senior national team in a friendly against Hungary, which was lost with 0:1. They came on in the 57th minute.

Damnjanović took at the 2012 U-19 European Championship in Turkey part, left with her team however in the first round. In qualifying for the U-19 European Championship 2013, it was with 14 goals scored while leading scorer, but could not qualify for the finals with their team.
