Alexandra Popp ( 2011)
Alexandra Popp ( born April 6, 1991, Witten ) is a German football player. The defender and striker is at the Bundesliga VfL Wolfsburg under contract.
Career
Popp began her career at FC black and white Silschede ( Gevelsberg ) and played up to the maximum age limit of 14 years there in mixed teams. Later, she transferred to 1 FFC Recklinghausen. With the fifth division team they failed in 2008 just wide of the promotion to the Regionalliga West. In May 2008, Popp was with the U- 17 National Team European Champion, scoring in the final against France, the pre-decisive 2-0. For the season 2008/ 09 she moved to FCR 2001 Duisburg and suggested an offer of top French club Olympique Lyon. On September 7, 2008, she made her Bundesliga debut against the Herford and SV reached on 28 September at the 8-0 victory against TSV Crailsheim their first Bundesliga goals. Private
Alexandra Popp was a student at the Gesamtschule Berger Feld in Gelsenkirchen. In the certified as an elite school of football by the DFB school Popp was the only student in the class football. This learned and trained them with young players of FC Schalke 04 She left the school after the twelfth year with the diploma and completed a year-long internship as a physiotherapist. Meanwhile, she completed a three-year training as an animal keeper at the zoo Essehof.
In some interviews, she explained that she was a fan of Borussia Dortmund.
