2009–10 DFB-Pokal (women)

The DFB Women's Cup was played in the 2009/10 season for the 30th time. The final was held on 15 May 2010 in Cologne Rhein Energie Stadium. For the first time since 1984, the final was not held in the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. Last year's winner FCR 2001 Duisburg won his third title with a 1-0 victory in the final against the FF USV Jena.

First round

The draw for the first round took place in the Frankfurt DFB headquarters on July 17, 2009. The lots were drawn by the former national player Renate Lingor. The seven top-ranked teams in the Bundesliga last season, received a bye. These are the German champions 1 FFC Turbine Potsdam, runner-up Bayern Munich, Cup holders FCR 2001 Duisburg, the first FFC Frankfurt, SG Essen - Beautiful Beck, Hamburger SV and SC Freiburg. For the draw two regional groups were formed in order to avoid too long rides. The matches were played on 12 and 13 September 2009.

Second round

The matches will be played on 19 and 20 December 2009. The game between Cologne and Duisburg also had to be postponed due to weather conditions such as the match between food and Gütersloh. They were held on February 7, 2010.

Semifinal

The semi-finals were drawn after the DFB Cup match of the men between the VfL ​​Osnabrück and FC Schalke 04 on 10 February 2010.

In the clash of the favorites defending champions FCR 2001 Duisburg continued with a 1-0 win over the reigning German champions Potsdam 1-0.
