Joy (crater)

5:12

Joy is a small crater west of Mare Serenitatis. It is located in the eastern part of the mountainous and uneven area, which is separated from the Palus Putredinis Mare Serenitatis in the West.

Joy has a circular, bowl -like shape with a slightly bulging edge.

Before he by the International Astronomical Union ( IAU) got its own name in 1973, he was referred to as ' Hadley A'. The original namesake Mons Hadley is located in west- northwesterly direction at the north end of the lunar Apennines.
