József Asbóth

József Asbóth [ jo ː ʒɛf ɒʒbo ː t] ( born September 18, 1917 in Szombathely, † 22 September 1986, Munich) was a Hungarian tennis player.

Asbóth was the first Hungarian Grand Slam winner when he won the 1947 French Tennis Championships at Roland Garros against the South African Eric Sturgess in three sets ( 8:6, 7:5, 6:4).
