Juan Botasso

Juan Botasso ( born October 23, 1908 in Buenos Aires, Argentina; † October 5, 1950 in Quilmes, Argentina) was an Argentine football player.

Club career

He began his career in 1927 with the Argentine club Club Atlético Argentino de Quilmes. There he played until 1930 and then moved to Racing Club Avellaneda. In 1938 he returned to his hometown club, where he played a further eight years until he finished his career.

National

Botasso, who played on the position of the goalkeeper, was also a member of the national team of his native country, and took her part in the first World Cup in 1930. There he came to two inserts. He played both against the national team of the United States, as well as in the final of the tournament against the victorious representative of Uruguay. A year earlier, he was already a victorious at the end of Argentina's squad at the Campeonato Sudamericano 1929.
