Juan Carlos González

Juan Carlos González Ortiz ( born August 22, 1924 in Montevideo, Uruguay, † February 15, 2010 in Buenos Aires, Argentina ) was a Uruguayan football player. He was all the time in his career for CA Peñarol and was active with the Uruguayan national football team 1950 soccer World Cup.

Association

Juan Carlos González began in 1944, in the men's team of the club CA Peñarol, alongside giants Nacional even then first address in the football of the small country on the Rio de la Plata, with football games. Overall, González, who acted on the position of a defender, up to end of his career in 1956 at the Aurinegros under contract and won twice in that time the Uruguayan championship. From his debut on May 6, 1950 against Brazil (final score: 4-3 ) until his last mission on April 13, 1952 Juan Carlos González came to seven missions in the Uruguayan national football team. He does not hit the opponent's goal. Uruguay coach Juan López Fontana called him into the squad for the World Cup 1950 in Brazil. In the tournament, he was employed in the first two games of his team, at 8-0 in the group stage against Bolivia and the first final round match against Spain (2-2 ). The two remaining games against Sweden ( 3-2 ) and Brazil ( 2-1 ) where Uruguay in Maracanã for the second time world champion, but he missed.
