Juan Manuel López Iturriaga

Juan Manuel López Iturriaga (also Iturriaga; born February 4, 1959 in Bilbao ) is a former Spanish professional basketball player. His former position was that of shooting guards. Iturriaga, who was known for his quick counter-attacks and distance casting, began his career in his native city of Bilbao to the little club Loyola Indautxu, and finally with only 17 years he moved to Real Madrid. There he celebrated many successes, he won in his first season, the Spanish Cup, the Cup and the Intercontinental. In total he scored during his twelve years in the club, ten national and seven international titles successes. In his 90 appearances with the Spanish national Iturriaga reached the Vice European Championship in 1983 and a silver medal at the 1984 Olympic Games, where you only lost in the final against the U.S. team. Iturriaga moved to his active career in the media landscape, where he among other things, works as a columnist and television commentator.
