Juan Vicente Chiarino

Juan Vicente Chiarino Ravenna ( born December 25, 1901 in Montevideo, † June 29, 1989 ) was a Uruguayan lawyer and politician.

Juan Vicente Chiarino studied law at the Law Faculty of the Universidad de la República and later worked as a lawyer. He holds a doctorate Chiarino also worked as a journalist. As such, he was director of the newspaper El Bien Público and wrote for El Amigo. Chiarino, who belonged to the Unión Cívica, had in the 34th and 35th legislative period as a representative of the department of Montevideo for the first time on May 2, 1944 to August 12, 1947 for the retired Dardo Regules and of 15 September 1947 to 15 March 1948 mandate inherent in the Cámara de Representantes as deputy mayor. In the 35th, 36th and 37th legislative period interrupted in the 35th legislative period, he held a Titularmandat as a senator in the Cámara de Senadores until his resignation on May 7, 1958. Chiarino was March 1, 1985 to November 18, 1987 Minister of Defense of Uruguay.
