Judy Cornwell

Judy Valerie Cornwell ( born February 22, 1940 in Hammersmith, London) is a British actress.

Biography

Cornwell's father served in the war of the Royal Air Force and they grew the first years of life in the UK before she emigrated with her family to Australia. About her childhood she has written their own autobiography. She later returned to the UK and began to work as a professional dancer and actress in a London theater in Westminster. Soon after, she began to work as an actress.

Her long career includes many appearances on radio and in television series. One of her most famous roles is that of Daisy in the sitcom Keeping Up Appearances, which she played for several years. Furthermore, she played also detected in series such as Jim Bergerac, Doctor Who, Heartbeat and Eastenders. In films, she played frequently with and was for example, Cry Freedom and Jane Austen's seduction to see in Santa Claus.

Aside from acting, she is also active as a writer and wrote her autobiography by a number of novels. In 1960 she married John Kelsall Parry and has with him a child.
