Judy McGrath

Judith Ann McGrath ( born July 15, 1952 in Scranton, Pennsylvania) is an American media manager. She is the CEO of MTV Networks, Viacom.

Life

McGrath studied English Literature at Cedar Crest College in 1978 and went to New York. At first, she wrote stories for Mademoiselle there, and later she became a columnist for Glamour. Shortly after the founding of MTV in 1981 she was hired there as a writer for promotional texts. In 1991, she was responsible for program music, promotion and production for MTV. She was appointed on 20 July 2004 as CEO. It is inter alia responsible for MTV, MTV2, VH-1, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon.
