Julia (programming language)

Julia is a higher high-performance programming language, which was developed primarily for scientific computing. The syntax is very similar to MATLAB, as well as other technical programming languages. Julia was written in C, C and Scheme, the standard library were written in Julia herself. The development began in 2009, the first open source version, however, was only published in February 2012. Speed-wise, Julia can be classified in the range of C and Fortran, whereas other scientific languages ​​such as MATLAB, GNU Octave or R are slower.
