Juliaetta is a city in Latah County, Idaho, United States. In the census of 2000 the city had 609 inhabitants.

Geography

Juliaettas geographical coordinates are 46 ° 35 'N, 116 ° 42' W46.577777777778 - 116.70777777778 ( 46.577642, -116.707835 ). The village is located about three kilometers north of the Nez Perce Reservation. The Potlatch River runs parallel to the Idaho State Highway 3

History

The settlement was originally named after Rupert Scupfer, one of the first settlers in the area Schupferville. In 1882 the city its name from its first postmaster, Charles Snyder. He named the city after his two daughters, Julia and Etta.
