Julian Jarrold

Julian Jarrold ( born May 15, 1960 in Norwich, Norfolk as Julian Edward Peter Jarrold ) is a British film director and producer who directed some well-known English movies, including Kinky Boots - Man (n) is wearing boots, Becoming Jane and Brideshead Head.

Life and career

Jarrold was born in 1960 in Norwich Museum, the son of the president of the John Jarrold Printing, he attended the Gresham School in Norfolk, before he moved to the film.

His first directorial duties, he took over for television episodes of the British series " Dramarama " (1983), " The Other Side of Midnight" (1 episode, 1989), "Children's Ward " ( 10 episodes, 1990-1991), "Coronation Street" (1 episode, 1992), "Crime Story" (1 episode, 1992) " Medics " ( 2 episodes, 1994), Cracker ( 3 episodes, 1994), medical examiner Dr. Samantha Ryan ( 2 episodes, 1997), or " Touching Evil " (1 episode, 1997) before more focused in 1997 on the production of television and movies.

In 1999 he directed the television film adaptations of All the King 's Men with Maggie Smith and the miniseries Great Expectations with Charlotte Rampling.

For the comedy Kinky Boots - One (n ) Boots carries with Chiwetel Ejiofor, he was nominated for a British Independent Film Award 2005.

In 2007 he turned to Anne Hathaway, James McAvoy and James Cromwell the fictional portrait of the novelist Jane Austen in the literature - film Becoming Jane. Julian Jarrold is a member of the family that founded the Jarrold of Norwich in 1823. He now lives in North London.
