Julie Billiart

Maria Rosa Julie Billiart ( born July 12, 1751 Cuvilly, Picardie, France, † April 8, 1816 in Namur, Belgium) was a French foundress of the Order of the Sisters of Our Lady.

She was a pioneer in the field of education and teaching of young girls in the 19th century. 1906 Julie Billiart of Pope Pius X beatified in 1969 by Pope Paul VI. canonized in Rome, her Memorial Day is celebrated on April 8.
