Julie Rogers (singer)

Julie Rogers ( born April 6, 1943 in Bermondsey, London) is a British singer.

Life

Rogers began her career as a singer in the orchestra by Teddy Foster. 1964 she succeeded to the title The Wedding, an adaptation of the Argentine song La Novia, a worldwide hit. Rogers' The Wedding was a cover version of a paper published in 1961 by Anita Bryant in the U.S. single. Estimated to have been sold by the title to this day 12-15 miwwion copies. For Germany, they recorded the song under the title bells of love also in German language. The title The Wedding reached in the UK No. 3, in the United States ranked 10th in Germany ranked 16th in the UK it was made with the follow-up single Like A Child again a jump into the top 20 at number 20 in the U.S., the song was only able to reach 67th place. In both shots she was accompanied by the orchestra Johnny Arthey.
