Julie Stevens (British actress)

Julie Stevens ( born December 20 1936 in Prestwich, United Kingdom) is an English actress.

Life

Stevens trained as a nurse before she came to television. When British broadcaster ABC, she began her training in 1957. In preparation for the acting requirements, they also spent a season at the Theatre of Ryde, Isle of Wight.

The training there led to an audition for the role of Venus Smith in the television series The Avengers and melon, which should occur in the second season of the series alternating with Cathy Gale ( Honor Blackman ) as a partner of John Steed. The role of Venus Smith was created as a nightclub and jazz singer, so that Julie Stevens in each of the episodes at least had a singing gig. Due to lack of audience echoes the role, however, was dropped after six episodes.
