Julio Ducuron

Julio Ducuron (* November 24, 1946 in Río Cuarto, Córdoba Province, Argentina) is an Argentine Impressionist landscape painter. He is known for his depictions of the Latin -American life.

Biography

1946 Ducuron in Cordoba, a province, Argentina was born. He is of French descent; his parents, Julio and Elsa Ducuron Lebrone, are descendants of the French Basques of Madiran, a town in the high Pyrenees. Ducuron won his first professional art competition at age 13. 1960, the jury awarded the Rio Cuarto art exhibition Ducuron out in the open-air art contest.

Ducurons first art teacher, Prof. Angel Vieyra, was a witness to this event. The winning drawing "The Hill Rock" ( in German: "The mountain rock ") was seen on the same day by Don Libero Pierini, a famous Italian artist. Pierini was inspired by the works of the young Ducuron, so he has with Don Marciano Longarini, director of the art school, talked and wanted to convince him from taking the young artist before the minimum age. He was successful and Ducuron became the youngest student of the Escuela Provincial de Bellas Artes in Rio Cuarto. In 1966 he had his first exhibition at the El Círculo Art Gallery.

Ducuron studied economics and achieved his degree in 1970. During the same year, he was the art studies program at Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana, excellent. 1972 - 1992 he founded and led the Fernando Fader art gallery in Rio Cuarto from 1973 to 1976 he was director of the National Museum of Rio Cuarto. In addition, he created and hosted a television program under the name "The Museum Brought to Your Home" ( in German: "The museum is brought to your home "). 1974 his paintings were first exhibited in Italy.

He traveled to Italy to participate in individual art exhibitions in Milan, Legnano, Cremona, Bra, Bollate, Casale Monferrato and Monza. Each of his 62 paintings were sold in Italy within three months. This year, he won an art award in Monza.

From 2000 to 2003 he was director of the Superior Fine Arts School in Río Cuarto County.
