Julius Frey

Julius Frey ( born October 25, 1881 in Stuttgart, † August 28, 1960 in Stuttgart ) was a German swimmer.

Frey was together with his team-mates Ernst Hoppenberg, Max Hainle, Max Beautiful and Herbert von Peter Dorff at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris in 1900 Olympic champion in the 200-meter team swimming. As an individual swimmer, he was named aft over 1,000 meters freestyle.

For his athletic achievements, he was in 1953 awarded the Badge of Honor of the National Olympic Committee for Germany.
