Julius Leopold Klein

Julius Leopold Klein ( * 1810 in Miskolc; † August 2, 1876 in Berlin) was a German author and literary historian.

Life

He finished high school in Pest and studied medicine in Vienna and Berlin. After traveling in Italy and Greece, he settled in Berlin in 1830, where he apart from a stay in Wismar in 1838 lived, as Head of the Baltic leaves, up to his death as a writer. Klein wrote several historical tragedies and comedies, but is primarily known as the author of a 13 - volume history of the drama ( 1865-1876 ).
