Júnior Baiano

Raimundo Ferreira Ramos Júnior Júnior Baiano called ( born March 14, 1970 in Feira de Santana ), is a former Brazilian footballer who was active among others at Werder Bremen and in the Brazilian national team.

In 2001, he was locked because of a positive doping tests in terms of cocaine for four months.

Playing career

Association

The center-back started his career in 1989 at Flamengo Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo FC in 1995 came over to Werder Bremen, where he completed 32 games in the Bundesliga, while scoring twice. After a record lock of ten weeks because of a fist blow in the first round of the DFB Cup against Leverkusen Nico Kovac 1996 he moved back to Flamengo, and played there for two years.

His next stop was SE Palmeiras, then he still played for CR Vasco da Gama, Shanghai Shenhua in China, SC Internacional and Flamengo again before he announced in 2005 his career end. Yet in 2006 he signed a professional contract again the Brazilian second division side FC América from Rio de Janeiro. In 2007 he finally moved to Brasiliense FC, ​​for whom he played until 2008. He then moved for a short spell to Volta Redonda FC.

Since the 2009 season, he played for Miami FC.

National

For the Brazilian national Júnior Baiano completed 25 games, scoring two goals. In the final of the football World Cup in France in 1998 the defender was in the starting of the Brazilians and played until the end of the game through. In 1997, he won the Confederations Cup.
