Juozas Bernatonis

Juozas Bernatonis ( born September 8, 1953 in Kaunas) is a Lithuanian politician and diplomat.

Training

After graduating from high school in 1971 in the 7th Middle School Kaunas Juozas Bernatonis graduated in chemistry technology to KPI and from 1987 to 1990, the postgraduate and doctorate at the University of Prague Policy. In 2002 he graduated from the law school at the Department of Distance Learning Faculty of Law, Vilnius University.

Activity

From 1996 to 2004, Juozas Bernatonis Member of the Seimas ' ( 1993-1996 Deputy Chairman of the Seimas '), then a consultant and advisor to the President and Prime Minister Algirdas Brazauskas, 2001-2003 Minister of the Interior of Lithuania, professor at the Universities of MRU and Vilnius.

April 2007 renounced Juozas Bernatonis to the mandate of the Seimas Member and was appointed ambassador to Estonia. Since 13 December 2012, he is Minister of Justice of Lithuania.
