Jure Dolenec

Jure Dolenec ( born December 6, 1988 in Ljubljana, SR Slovenia, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Slovenian handball player.

The 1.90 m wide right half back player started his professional career at Rokometno Drustvo Termo. In 2011 he signed with the European Cup participants RK Velenje, with which he pushed forward to the quarter- finals of the EHF Cup 2011/12. In his second year he led Velenje with 64 gates to the Round of 16 in the EHF Champions League 2012/13. In both years, he was able to win the Slovenian Cup. For the 2013/14 season the left-hander joined the French top team Montpellier AHB.

At the Slovenian national team left-handed debuted in 2011. During the 2012 European Championship in Serbia he was sixth and scored 30 goals in seven games. At the World Cup in 2013 in Spain, he was fourth and was the best Slovenian scorer with 39 goals.
