Juris Silovs (athlete)
Juris Silovs ( born August 30, 1950 in Krāslava ) is a former Latvian sprinter who competed for the Soviet Union.
In 1972 he won at the Olympic Games in Munich with the Soviet team silver in the 4 x 100 - meter relay.
About 100 m he won in 1973 at the Universiade and was fourth at the 1974 European Athletics Championships in Rome.
At the Olympic Games in Montreal in 1976, he retired about 100 m from the inlet port. In the 4 x 100 - meter relay team, he won the Soviet quartet bronze.
