Bald Mountain from the north

The Bald Mountain is a 2350 m above sea level. A. high mountain in Hagengebirge in the Berchtesgaden Alps on the border between Germany (Bavaria) and Austria (Salzburg).

From the west a steep marked path leads (Route 496 ) through the so-called mouse hole to the top. From the southwest, from the Landtal, can the summit via the so-called iron path, reach places very steep climb with old markings. A trackless descent variant results from the so-called shutters, a saddle with a striking, small pit (on the right the fourth notch on the left of the summit ), north into the valley between Bald Mountain and Hochseeleinkopf down. This descent leads mostly over steep scree.
