Kailash Purryag ( born September 12, 1947 in Vacoas - Phoenix) is a politician of Mauritius

Life

Of 22 December 1997 and 17 September 2000 as successor to Purryag Prem Nababsing Deputy Prime Minister of Mauritius. From 12 July 2005 to 20 July 2012 was Purryag as the successor of Prem Ramnah Speaker of the National Assembly of Mauritius, which he is a member since 1976. Since July 21, 2012, as the successor of Purryag Anerood Jugnauth President of Mauritius. Purryag is a member of the Labour Party. Purryag is married and has one child.
