Vacoas-Phoenix
Vacoas - Phoenix is with 106 761 inhabitants (2005 ) the third largest city on the island of Mauritius and is situated on a plateau in the center of the island in the district of Plaines Wilhems. The city lies between Curepipe and Quatre Bornes, about 16 km south of Port Louis. The result is the city in 1963 by the merger of the places Vacoas and Phoenix.
