The Kakegawa Station (Japanese挂 川 駅, Kakegawa -eki ) is located in Kakegawa in Shizuoka Prefecture.

Design and tracks

He is a combination of railhead ( Tenryu- Hamamatsu Railway) and through station (JR) with a total of 10 tracks. They are distributed as follows ( from north to south ):

  • Tracks 1 and 2 of the Tenryu- Hamamatsu Railway.
  • Tracks 1 to 3 of the Tōkaidō Main Line, while track 2 is traversed only by trains towards Shizuoka / Tokyo and track 3 only of trains towards Hamamatsu / Osaka.
  • A siding south of track 3
  • Four Shinkansen tracks, two of them on two of the platforms (track 4 in the direction of Tokyo, track 5 in the direction of Osaka) and two intermediate through tracks.

Use

History
