Kalvola

Kalvola [ kɑlvɔlɑ ] is a former municipality in the southern Finnish landscape Kanta -Häme. At the beginning of 2009, it was amalgamated with the municipalities Hauho, Lammi, Renko and Tuulos into town Hämeenlinna.

Kalvola located 20 km north- west of the center of Hämeenlinna and 55 km southeast of Tampere. The distance to the capital Helsinki is 125 km. The highway from Helsinki to Tampere ( State Road 3/Europastraße 12) and the railway line from Helsinki to Oulu Tampere traverse Kalvola.
