Kamani Hill

Kamani Helekunihi Hill ( born December 28, 1985 in Berkeley ) is an American soccer player who also has a pass of the island nation Trinidad and Tobago.

Career

The attacker was born the son of a Trinidaders and a U.S. citizen Hawaiian origin in Berkeley. Hill played in the youth at his home club Marin United and football team of Berkeley High School, he attended.

2004, the Americans went to the University of California in the Pacific -10 Conference. From the football team of UCLA Bruins originates among other things Benny Feilhaber. By 2006, he graduated from there 40 games in which he scored nine goals. During his college years, Hill took a few games for Orange County Blue Star and the San Fernando Valley Quakes in the USL Premier Development League, the fourth- highest division of the United States. It is popular as a purely amateur league among students and older students, as they can play there during the holidays in a football club.

Through his achievements in the Pacific -10 Conference, VfL Wolfsburg became aware of the striker and invited him in October 2006, for trials one. After Hill Wolfsburg coach Klaus Augenthaler convinced, he signed a contract until 2009. Kamani Hill is eligible to play for VfL Wolfsburg since 1 January 2007. His Bundesliga debut Hill on January 27, 2007 against Hertha BSC when he came on in the 68th minute.

On June 2, 2007 Hill got its first use in the U.S. national team. In the 4-1 win in a friendly against China in San Jose, he came on in the 74th minute.

Since 21 November 2007 he no longer belongs to the squad after he was rejected by Felix Magath.

In April 2009, Hill completed a ten-day trial Portuguese first division club Vitória Guimarães. On May 8, he signed there a three-year contract. In January 2010 he was loaned half a year to the second division CD Aves.

In March 2012 he moved to the U.S. first division club Colorado Rapids without a competitive match for Vitória Guimarães to have completed. There he came into the 2012 season, mostly as a substitute to 19 inserts and scored five goals.
