Kamikaze Girls (Japanese下 妻 物语, Shimotsuma Monogatari, dt " Shimotsuma Story ") is a 2002 shot by Tetsuya Nakashima Japanese comedy based on the novel by Novala Takemoto. The premiere took place in 2004. In the U.S., the DVD was released in 2006 with original Japanese soundtrack and English subtitles for the first time under the name of Kamikaze Girls. The Japanese version includes as bonus material, among others, interviews with the main actors. In 2010 appeared under the Third Window Films in the UK provided a new version with English subtitles, which contains the bonus material also.

Action

It tells the story of an unusual friendship between the good acting Momoko Ryugasaki, played by Kyoko Fukada, and the daredevil Shirayuri Ichigo (Anna Tsuchiya ). The story takes place in the small town Shimotsuma, Ibaraki, and is thus created that the seventeen year old high school student Momoko collides decorated in a frilly dress in the Lolita look on a moped with a small truck and is hurled through the air.
