Kant (crater)

30.85

Kant is a small impact crater northwest of the striking crater Cyrillus and the comparably large crater Ibn Rushd. In the northwest of the crater lies publicans and to the east the promontory Mons Penck rises to a height of four kilometers.

Kant has a clearly defined and somewhat uneven edge of roughly circular shape. The inner walls have a higher albedo than the surroundings. Parts of it are slid to the ground and form an irregular surface structure. At the center of the crater interior extends to a low central rise.

It was named after the German philosopher Immanuel Kant.
