Bulgarian - Romanian border crossing

Since the border between Bulgaria and Romania mainly runs along the Danube and the only bridge over the Danube is Russian, there were few border crossings before the EU accession of Bulgaria and Romania. Apart from the Danube between Vidin and Calafat ferry that was the border crossing on the road from Kardam Negru Voda after. Since the Danube here runs to the north, this border crossing was on dry ground ( without a bridge or ferry).

The border crossing was named after the village Kardam (border crossing " Kardam ", Bulg ГКПП " Кардам " Transcription: GKPP " Kardam " long form: Granite 's Kontrolno Propuskwatelen point " Kardam " )
