Karen Brødsgaard (born 10 March 1978 in Horsens, Denmark ) is a former Danish handball player.

Career

The 1.78 m wide circle player played for the Danish first division club Aalborg DH. Previously, she was active for Ikast - bording EH, Larvik HK, Viborg HK, Horsens HK, Gedved and Stensballe.

Your international debut in the Danish national team, she gave on 25 February 1998. Brødsgaard played 140 international matches in which they scored 288 goals. With the national team, she won two Olympic gold medals and one European Championship. Previously, she also played in the Danish junior selection, with which they could win a World Cup and a European Championship.

After finishing her playing career Brødsgaard took over in 2010 the assistant coaching position at Aalborg DH. In January 2012, she was from this post.
