Karen Carney

Julia Karen Carney ( born August 1, 1987 in Solihull ) is an English footballer. The striker is the Birmingham City LFC under contract and playing for the English national team. She stood in the squad the England team for the 2011 World Cup and the squad of Team GB for the Olympic Games in 2012.
At the age of eleven years, Carney joined the club Birmingham City LFC and made his debut in the first team three years later. 2002 Carney managed with Birmingham promotion to the FA Women's Premier League National Division. For the season 2006/ 07 joined Carney for Arsenal LFC. With Arsenal in 2007, she won the Quadruple from championship cup win, League Cup victory, and the European Cup victory. A year later, Carney again won the league and cup double. In 2009 she moved to the Chicago Red Stars. Since 2011 she again plays for Birmingham City LFC.
On 17 February 2005 Carney made his debut in a match against Italy in the England national team and scored a goal right away. She took part in the European Championships in 2005 and 2009 and at the 2007 World Championships. In 62 international matches they scored 11 goals, inter alia, in the European Championship final in 2009 against Germany the score back to intermittent 1:2. For the 2011 World Cup she was also nominated. In the first game they were in the corner formed by Fara Williams led (final score 1:1) to 1:0. Against New Zealand, it was not loaded until the second half. In the other games it was back in the starting lineup, but lost on penalties in the quarter- final against France, which she could transform the second penalty for England.
In 2012 she was in Team GB, which participated in the Olympic Games in London. She came in all four games for use, but different in the quarterfinals against Canada from.
Carney was in the England squad for the European Championship 2013 in Sweden and came to the three games used.
