Karen Marie Moning

Karen Marie Moning ( born October 1, 1964 in Cincinnati, Ohio) is an American author of urban fantasy. She lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.

Life

Moning was born as one of five children in Cincinnati. She graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Arts ( BA) in society and the law. After ten years of working with insurance companies and Arbitration she quit her job to pursue her career as a writer. Her first novel, Beyond the Highland Mist ( German spell of desire ), was nominated for two RITA Awards, the price of the Romance Writers of America. Your Highlander series appeared on the bestseller lists of the New York Times, USA Today and Publishers Weekly.
