Karin Schmalfeld
Karin Schmalfeld ( born February 19, 1976) is a German orienteer. She won the silver medal in singles at the 2005 World Games.
Narrow field starts for the club BSV Halle- Ammendorf. At the Junior World Championships 1995 in Horsens, Denmark Schmalfeld won the silver medal at the middle distance. The following year she was on the long- distance third parties. Their first use in World Championships Elite she had also been in 1995. At the World Championships in and around Detmold In the middle distance, they reached number 29 with the German relay place fifth in the coming years, narrow field developed into the leading orienteer in Germany. Almost every season they won at least one league titles.
