Karina Aznavourian

Karina Borisovna Asnawurjan (Russian Карина Борисовна Азнавурян; born September 20, 1974 in Baku, Azerbaijan SSR ) is a Russian fencer sword, two- time Olympic gold medalist and world champion.

Achievements

In 1996 Karina Asnawurjan took the first time in the Olympic Games in Atlanta and arrived Bronze sword with the Russian team, they finished 20th in the individual course. In 2000, she appeared again at the Olympic Games in Sydney and won the epee team, in a single, it became the 28th place. The Fencing European Championships in Moscow in 2002 she was awarded silver in the team, 2003, she was in Havana team world champion. In 2004 she won the Russian epee team both in Copenhagen at the World Fencing Championships and at the Olympic Games in Athens.
