Karl Brauneder

Karl Braun Eder ( born March 13, 1960 in Voesendorf, Lower Austria ) is a former Austrian football player at the position of a defender and midfielder. With Rapid Wien of multiple national player could reach the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1985.

Career

Karl Braun Eder received his first games in the Austrian Bundesliga for the Wiener Sport - Club, with which he surprisingly was runner-up in the first season in 1979. Although he was unable to repeat this success with the team in the following years, he was soon called to the national team, for whom he made ​​his debut in a 1-0 victory over Denmark on 19 May 1982. In the summer of 1983, the football players joined Rapid Vienna, where he won his first title with the same Cup victory over Austria Vienna. His career highlight in Hütteldorf experienced Karl Braun Eder by reaching the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup, where he but Everton were beaten 1:3. After two more victories in the OFB Cup and two titles in the championship, he moved in the winter of 1990/ 91 for second division FC VOEST Linz (later FC Linz), with whom he promptly rose to the Bundesliga. After a year in Upper Austria, however, Karl Braun Eder came back again to Hütteldorf to Rapid Vienna, where he completed his last Bundesliga games. At the end of his career he was active in the East Regional.

During his work as a trainer at BNZ Admira Wacker he discovered, among other things Erwin Hoffer and gave him the nickname " Jimmy". Since the summer of 2008, he coached the traditional club first Simmering SC in the big leagues A, he immediately helped the league title and thus resulted in the Vienna City League again, but put on 18 May 2010 after a draw against IC favorites surprising his position as coach in spite of the then second table space back.
