Karl-Erik Palmér

Karl -Erik " Calle " Palmér ( born April 17, 1929 in Malmö, Sweden ) is a former Swedish football player.

Career

Palmér debuted in 1949 for Malmö FF in Allsvenskan. Between May 1949 and June 1951 the team remained unbeaten in 49 consecutive games, to date record in the league. Consequently, he was also three-time Swedish champion with the team from 1949 to 1951. In 1951 he moved to AC Legnano, who had ascended to Serie A. As Table, the club had after just one season stay again, but managed its chances of promotion. However, the league could not be done again. Even in 1957, the club rose from the C series. In seven years, the striker played 192 games for the " Violet ", scoring 23 goals. In 1958 he moved to Juventus, but there was only three times for use. At the end of the season 1958/59 he ended his career.

Palmér played 14 internationals for Sweden. He participated with the national selection of the World Cup 1950. At the tournament he made with Hasse Jeppson and " Nacka " Skoglund attack the trio " Pal- Jep - Sko ". With three tournament gates he contributed to the achievement of third place.
