Karl Gustafsson

Karl Johan Gustafsson ( born September 16, 1888 in Köpings, † February 20, 1960 ) was a Swedish football player.

Career

Gustafsson played in Sweden for IFK Köpings, Köpings IS and Djurgårdens IF, with whom he became Swedish champion several times. In 1913 he played briefly as an amateur player for Leicester City.

In addition, Gustafsson was 32 ​​times Swedish national team, scoring 22 goals. On July 12, 1908 in the 14th minute he scored the first goal in the history of Sweden, in the 5th minute, he had already missed a penalty. The first international match of association Norway was defeated with 11:3.

Gustafsson took part in the Summer Olympic Games in 1908, 1912, 1920 and 1924. The biggest success was winning the bronze medal in Paris in 1924.
