Karl Sanders

Karl Sanders ( born June 5, 1964 in Greenville, South Carolina) is an American guitarist and singer.

He is a member of the Egyptian mythology and oriental music influenced death metal band Nile, and was born in Greenville, South Carolina, United States of America. He is known for his fast, technical guitar playing.

Life

Sanders was influenced by days of childhood Metal. Among other things, he lived in the 80s with the members of Morbid Angel in a house in Tampa, Florida. He also collected ideas already influenced by the nascent death metal. Before he founded Nile, he played in the late 1980s when thrash metal bands, including at Morriah, and at concerts of the young Morbid Angel and other U.S. death metal bands. In addition to his work at Nile, he played guitar solos as a guest guitarist for bands like Behemoth or Ex Deo.

In 2004, the first album of his solo project, " Saurian Meditation " was released, which includes Egyptian sounds that he did not at Nile would have to this extent can publish. Nevertheless, the ideas to come out of work for Nile. The album was released by Relapse Records in October 2004. Afterwards he went back to Nile. On 14 April 2009 his second solo album, titled " Saurian Exorcisms " appeared in The End Records. Sanders took on this work all the instruments, which include, among other things, the baglama saz and the Glissentar belong. He was only supported in the songs of Mike Breazeale.

He writes often mythological texts for Nile, as he has a penchant for Syria and Egypt, although he has never been in these countries.

Karl Sanders has a son.
