Karl Staaf

Karl Gustaf Vilhelm Staaf ( born April 6, 1881 in Stockholm, † February 15, 1953 in Motala ) was a Swedish athlete and Tauzieher.

Staaf took at the Olympic Games in Paris in 1900 in several track and field competitions. He was fifth in the hammer throw and seventh in the pole vault. He also participated at the Olympic triple jump yet, but could not place itself. For a mixed team of Danish and Swedish athletes he took part in the competition in the tug of war and was able to prevail against the French team and thus win gold.
