The Karl International University is a nationally recognized, private college based in Karlsruhe. It was founded in 2004 and started its operation study for the winter semester 2005/2006. A study at the University is chargeable.

History

1903, the university was founded as Mercury Academy and in 1978 Mercury Academy in May gGmbH converted. 1992 Bachelor program was recorded in collaboration with foreign universities. 2004 followed by the establishment of MAI private universities Karlsruhe gGmbH. This was accredited in 2005 by the Science and nationally recognized. The study operating in its present form was recorded in the winter semester 2005/2006.

Because of maladministration, the increasing becoming aware of inadequate study content and failures to accreditation in the context of the Bologna process, the accreditation was suspended in May 2008 after the audit had uncovered the states. Overall, the university has been granted 27 runs for re-registration.

In the subsequent restructuring in addition to the reorganization of the administration and the new concept of degree programs the assets of the college was transferred to a charitable foundation in early 2009, on 27 May 2009, she was of "Merkur Internationale Fachhochschule " in " Karl International University " renamed.

The re-accreditation was in 2010, after the requirements made ​​previously were met and a new test was successful.
