Karneval (Manga)

Carnival (Japaneseカーニヴァル, Kānivaru ) is a manga series of Japanese illustrator Toya Mikanagi. It appears since 2007 in Japan and is classified in the genres Fantasy and shōjo and was filmed in 2013 as an anime series.

Content

The approximately 13 -year-old Nai (无) lived as long as he can remember in the 18 -year-old Karoku (嘉禄). But one day it is gone. Looking for him Nai is its only bracelet between puddles of blood. When he investigated further, he meets an old property the 15 -year-old thief Gareki (花 砾) who wants to give this plunder straight. Nai joins the intelligent Gareki on, but soon advised the two targeted two organizations. For one, they are pursued by Circus, a government organization that combats especially dangerous criminals. On the other hand, there are Kafka, whose members secretly perform forbidden genetic experiments.

Publications

The manga has been published since August 2007 ( issue 10 /2007) in the manga magazine Monthly Comic Zero - Sum of the publisher Ichijinsha in Japan. The chapter also appeared in twelve private anthologies. In twelve volumes: At Egmont Manga and Anime a German translation so far ( as of December 2013 ) has been published since April 2012. Madman Entertainment released the series already in English in Australia and New Zealand, Ki- oon she brings out in France.

For manganese also exist implementations as a radio play series. The issues 10-11/2009 one radio drama CD was. In addition, since March 25, 2010 by Frontier Works will see a series of radio plays. Until November 6th 2013 published eight parts, and another one is scheduled for April 23, 2014.

Anime

Studio Manglobe adapted the manga into an anime television series directed by Eiji Suganuma, while the Character Design by Toshie Kawamura comes.

The 13 episodes complete series was from April 4 to June 27, 2013 after midnight (and thus on the previous TV day ) aired on Asahi Hoso. Within a week, followed by Tokyo MX, TV Aichi, and AT -X, and on April 13th BS11. The series was licensed by Funimation in the U.S., they streamed simulcast subtitled in English.

For the voices of the characters, the speaker of the radio play were retained.

The release of seven DVD and Blu- Ray took place between 28 May to 22 November 2013 in Japan Bandai Visual. This also included English subtitles.
