Karpuzlu is a small county town in the center of Turkey's Aydın Province, south of the capital Aydın.

Settlements

In addition to the county town are in the county's 19 villages Abak, Akçaabat, Cumalar, Çobanisa, Ektirli, Gölcük Güneyköy, Hatipkışlası, Işıklar, Kovuk, Meriçler, Mutluca, Ovapınarı, Ömerler, Şenköy, Tekeler ( this village is 2,060 inhabitants slightly larger as the county seat Karpuzlu ) Ulukonak, Umcular and Yahşiler.

Attractions

In the immediate vicinity of the county seat are the remarkable ruins of the ancient Carian city of Alinda.
