Karungi

Karungi (Finnish Karunki ) is a place ( Tätort ) in the Swedish province of Norrbotten County and the historic province of Norrbotten.

The village in the municipality of Haparanda made to the new demarcation of the Treaty of Fredrikshamn between Sweden and Russia in 1809, together with the Finnish Karunki a common community. The two locations are separated by älv the Torne River.
