Kas (cycling team)

Kas was the name of two professional cycling teams in the 1960s to the 1980s. Sponsored the teams from a Spanish beverage company, which his lemonade brand Kas - now distributed by PepsiCo - applied. The traditional jersey color was yellow with blue lettering; later the reverse combination was chosen.

History

1958-1979

The first Kas team was founded in 1958. This year, the team won with Fausto Izan a stage of the Vuelta a España. 1959 undertook the team's Spanish champions in 1958, Federico Bahamontes, had previously won twice the mountains classification in the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España. 1985-1988
