Kate Hardie

Kate Hardie (born 26 April 1969) is a British actress.

Life and career

Kate Hardie grew up in Hampstead in the north of the British capital London. In 1983 she left to the age of 14 years, home and school with a boy live together. They were in the same year her film debut in the staged by director Charles Sturridge film Runners - On the cracks. Since then, she has starred in numerous television series and films. In the German-speaking world it was known for her portrayal of Cathy in the resulting 1986 film drama Mona Lisa next to the main cast Bob Hoskins, Michael Caine and Cathy Tyson. In 2006, she completed training as a scriptwriter at the National Film and Television School. Kate Hardie lived together for six years with the actor Dorian Healy. At a photo shoot, she met the famous portrait and fashion photographer Rankin Waddell, whom she married in 1995. After her son Lyle was born she divorced her husband in 1998. Already in the phase separation Kate Hardie moved together with the fellow actor David Thewlis. This relationship went after some time also in the breaks.
